iTheBadGuy Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 uTorrent says my port is forwarded properly, seeds are 14 (116) peers 13 (374), but my speed won't go higher than 0.3-1.0kB/s. I guess it's because i don't connect to peers right?, i look at the peer tab and i see i'm only connected to one and i'm downloading at like 0.3-1.0kB/s.. it shows a lot of peers, but i only connect ot one and well... the speed is retarded..My connection is only of about 200kbps so i don't get more than 23kB/s in a good torrent / downloads from a page. So what's going on?. i've set the speed guide accordingly to my connection xx/128kbps, this is about how much upload i get..Can someone help me?
DreadWingKnight Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 I guess it's because i don't connect to peers right?Wrong. You ARE connected to people. What internet security software do you have installed?
iTheBadGuy Posted August 31, 2009 Author Report Posted August 31, 2009 AVG. But i now made a rule for uTorrent, allowing all traffic.. and made the rule for TCP & UDP on both outgoing and incoming for the port. Now there's a bigger problem. uTorrent doesn't connect at all. "DHT: Waiting to login" what's this?, now what did i do wrong? -_-'
DreadWingKnight Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Did you enable it on all network types? Are you using AVG's Firewall?
iTheBadGuy Posted August 31, 2009 Author Report Posted August 31, 2009 yeah, enabled for all types, and yes it's AVG's firewall. Now it connected, but the problem still continues. 0.3kB/s -.-EDIT:OpenOffice got 2.8kB/s max...EDIT2:Well, i finally port forwarded a port for uTorrent, disabled my firewall (uninstalled AVG pro and got "Free" edition, no firewall.) I made sure my settings are correct in setup guide. My speed seems to get back to normal, but after 30 minutes of downloading i have to reset my router so it will start to download again. Anyway i guess its just my crappy router . thx for the help.
