iTheBadGuy Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but here it goes..[2009-09-01 13:59:45] UDP port bind failed 0.0.0.0:89: (10048) Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted. What does this mean?
GTHK Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 You're using port 89? Are you doing that for any particular reason or was it just arbitrary? Unless you have some ISP issues (and even then maybe not), you shouldn't use port numbers that low.The error means it can't bind the port, it's either in use, or a firewall is restricting it. Fixing the firewall or using a port in one of the appropriate ranges (10000-65000 or 40000-65000 depending on who you ask) should take care of it.
iTheBadGuy Posted September 1, 2009 Author Report Posted September 1, 2009 I was using 89 randomly .I change it to 1990 (B-year) and it's working fine now, thx.
