gquiring
I reinstalled Windows and I copied C:\users\gary\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent to my new build. uTorrent is not seeing the config or torrents. How do I pull in my config and torrents?
GTHK
Is "gary" the same username on the new windows? Is this Vista? Try using Start > %appdata%\utorrent to find the correct location.
gquiring
gary is the same name. I wiped out the roaming/utorrent directory and copied the files again. Wow did that mess it up, the install window keeps popping up and if I clicked install it would not finish and would lock up. I finally reinstalled from the download binary again and this time it's seeing my data. Go figure ....
smalltalkdan
I am having a similar problem; however, the login name for the two computers is different. I went to the original and copied the contents from \me\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent to the new PC (\newMe\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent) after doing a clean install. I had the same problem - once I do this, launching uTorrent actually launches the installer, which breaks when it reaches the Install screen.Do the directory names have to be identical for this to work?...dan
