symmetry Posted September 17, 2009 Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 I have followed all the instructions on portforward.com on setting up a static ip, and after doing that, I can browse the web just fine. Then I followed all the instructions on forwarding the port that utorrent is working. I have also downloaded the PFPortchecker and it is telling me "Could not test port 57146 because some other application has that port blocked. Please close any applications that may be using that port and try again." I turned off utorrent and then I was given this message in PFPortchecker "Your port is NOT OPEN or not reachable!"Please help *also I have turned off everything I could think of that might be interfering with that port. I disabled windows firewall, windows defender, spybot and avg antivirus. I had nothing else running during the time I was checking the port. No incoming connections = yellow, run an openoffice torrent and see if it turns red or green, and also use the uT port checker: http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/"Turning off" antivirus and firewall software doesn't remove its hooks. symmetry Posted September 18, 2009 Author Report Share Posted September 18, 2009 I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by making a static IP outside my routers DHCP range. I have a Linksys wrt54gv5 and I set my static IP to 192.168.1.069. I actually uninstalled AVG, but yeah I only turned off the windows defender and firewall. I tried downloading that open office, and no it didn't work. I did however install azureus (now vuze I guess) and I tried a torrent that wasn't working with utorrent and I also tried that open office torrent, and both of them worked.
