The only thing I can think of is using an Symbolic Link. Where you replace the moved file with a link to it.

You can't do it through the webui ofc. But you mentioned a python script in the previous topic and with it you should be able to stop the torrent (webui API), move the individual file (OS api), make the symoblic link (OS api) and start the torrent again (webui API).

Unfortunately my utorrent box is a Win2k3 machine and versions of Windows pre-Vista don't support symlinks to files, only directories. So that almost works except that I can only fake a rename of directories and not the files within, which is the main thing I'd like to do.

(Picture downloading TV shows and then wanting to move them to your TV directory and rename them to a more sensible file name with season, episode, title, and year while still seeding them. Symlinks would work if only I could symlink to a file)
