Uter
I tried to find a solution to this but had no luck. I usually download torrents with many seeders and I have utorrent set to seed to 105% and stop, which works no problem. Recently I've had a bunch of torrents with seeders who come and go, so while I have utorrent waiting for seeders it continues uploading way beyond the 105% ratio I have set and way beyond what I've downloaded so far. I just checked and one torrent is only 705mb, I've downloaded 511mb of it, and utorrent has uploaded 2.86 GIGS, giving me a ratio of 5.733.How do I stop this insanity? I want utorrent to obey my 105% ratio setting while "Downloading", not only when it's "Seeding". I can't be uploading forever when a seeder might not show for 2 weeks. DreadWingKnight
You don't. You live with it or choose different torrents.
Uter
Is this something I could suggest as a feature or are you saying it's impossible? It would be really useful if there was an option to stop uploading when your ratio reached what you had set based on what you already downloaded until more of the torrent was downloaded. DreadWingKnight
Previously rejected because it will screw up your download speed when the seeds do return.
Switeck
Set that torrent to 1 KB/sec upload speed, 1 upload slot total, and put it to LOW priority.Or just stop it and restart it briefly every day or 2.
