phlpgrcd32
I have version 1.8.4 of uTorrent and every time I download a torrent it never seeds when it reaches 100%. The seed and peer column shows the amount of seeds and peer on the torrent but 0 are connected. It's like when I'm done downloading the connection to the torrent gets cut off! The only time i can upload is when I'm downloading (I download fine btw, and the green circle appears and speed guide says port is forwarded correctly and accepting connections). But when I have only seeds running the yellow warning sign appears. I have 30 completed torrents in my list and not one of them (private or public) ever uploads when completed. Someone please help me for I'd really like to start seeding all these torrents. I'm running Windows XP service pack 3 and 1 dsl modem hooked up. It has to be something very simple but I don't know where to start.
Switeck
Do peers even connect briefly while you're in seeding mode?...According to Logger window/tab.
phlpgrcd32
Sometimes I see one peer flicker for a half second every 30 minutes or so, this always happens with every torrent, no matter the seed or peer ratio
Switeck
What error messages are you getting in the tracker and Logger windows/tabs for these torrents that are failing?
phlpgrcd32
the yellow triangle saying my network isn't configured correctly (no incoming connections). this only appears when i have nothing but a seed active, when i download a torrent the green circle appears, and my download speeds are normal and i start uploading too. i can only upload when downloading, i cant upload when in seed mode, the torrents just wont connect. Switeck
Sorry for the lack of clarity...I mean how do outgoing connections die/disconnect? (copy-and-paste examples from my own logger)Networking disaster errors, either on my end, their end, somewhere in the middle, or unknown:Disconnect: Peer error: Error 10014Disconnect: Peer error: Error 10054 (ComCast, Cox, and a couple other ISPs were killing BT connections this way. It means connect reset by peer, however the methods they were using were man-in-the-middle injected fake packets that appeared to come from the distant peer.)Disconnect: Peer error: Error 10061Disconnect: Peer error: offline (timed out) (Means if such a peer/seed even exists, it is firewalled and never receives/responds to your outgoing connection attempt.)Disconnect: Timed out (I don't really know how that differs from above.)Disconnect: Connection closedDisconnect: Not downloading (The "peer" at the other end is set to "don't download" and does not care to connect to seeds.)"My fault" errors:Disconnect: No such torrent: (Just means I no longer have that torrent running.)Disconnect: Is seed (If I'm seeding, I don't need to connect to other seeds.)Disconnect: Too many incoming connections (This actually only appears with incoming connections, but I'm adding it as another example. The torrent simply has more active peers/seeds on it than I allow to connect to me at once.)
phlpgrcd32
These are the only messages i get, no error numbers, just these, for every torrent that finishes, i made sure the port im using is firewalled and utorrent itself, im using windows firewall. I port forwarded everything correctly, the speed test shows it. Is there anything i can do? is this normal behavior? everything uploads and downloads fine, just when it turns into a seed it shuts down can't connect to anyone. Has anyone had a similar problem? any settings i should try manipulating? Switeck
These 3 are either the results of your software firewalls blocking or your ISP disrupting BitTorrent:[2009-10-02 13:50:34] 77.204.86.145:53534: Disconnect: Peer error: A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host.[2009-10-02 13:50:38] 216.63.175.136:39338: Disconnect: Peer error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.[2009-10-02 13:51:07] 71.109.79.148:45682: Disconnect: Peer error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. toemac
Is the submitter using Comcast? What kind of router, if any, do you have? I've got a DGL-4500.I just started seeing this recently. I have some debug output on an other system but my Mac with Transmission is seeing the same issue. I grabbed the latest ubuntu release and though it downloaded quickly - Both with uTorrent on windows and Transmission on Mac - I can't get anything to seed.I've messed with my router configs quite a bit, followed the guides on this forum, etc. No joy. I think this started about three weeks ago but I can't narrow it down much more.
Switeck
The poster is using Verizon ADSL if the ip is anything to go by.I've got ComCast Cable, but don't have that problem...I seed ok for hours/days on end.
