jrg1030
So, we live in an apartment near the college. the internet provider i'm guessing has blocked us from downloading .torrents but we found a way around that using TOR. But we can also not open any ports because they have the router on their end and we do not know the password. Whatever port i was using is now not downloading. I've used netstat command to try and find an open port but the ones I've tried haven't worked. What can i do to get an open port so that i can download? Switeck
It's acceptable to use TOR for tracker updates only, as those are often done at most once every 30 minutes PER torrent. You might get better results doing this:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=46778I explain a bit about ISP throttling and possible workarounds you can try here:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58714(NOTE: Those settings were a special case for a wireless ISP!)
