greycrow Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 I am wondering what if I no longer want a file and would like to delete it, when is it cool to "delete torrent and data"?I want to be a good citizen, but it is easy to have too much of a good thing and the need to "clean up" a bit begins to look good.
moogly Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 In theory a ratio per torrent of 1:1 is good, but for a popular torrent, you can stop seeding when you ratio is 0.5 or 0.7.Of course, it depends on if you are sharing from a private tracker with an high seeding ratio to maintain, if the torrent has only few peers, if you are really interested in sharing a specific torrent during a long time, etc...There is no definitive answer.
