DaveElson Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 Hello allI used uTorrrent a while back with no problems, but recently upgraded to Verizon Fios. We have one of their Westell routers and I access the internet through a Linksys Wireless USB network adapter. The Verizon router is in the wife's office.I was having an awful time trying to port forward (used/tried the program from Port Forward) until I noticed that the Westell did have a port already open, from when it was first set up.When I changed the port in uTorrent to this, all seemed okay, but I don't always get the green "ok" icon at the bottom of the program. Right now it's the yellow warning triangle telling me no incoming connections, but it could change back any minute. When I test the connection through uTorrent, it tells me all is good.So...do I need to do anything with the network adapter? My speeds are good, alot faster than before, but I don't understand the warning.Thanks.
GTHK Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 Yellow just means no incoming connections and can happen on weak torrents, you don't have to really worry unless it turns red.
Switeck Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 Once you're connected to all the seeds and peers on a torrent, I'd expect you wouldn't get any more incoming connections.
