NEED HELP! no downloads for weeks..for ANY torrent

doesn't matter how seeded the torrent is, or the seeds/leechers ratio. i acquire a job, it's blue for a minute or less, then turns red. i have infinity in the ETA box, it still says downloading. last week i had the program running and one of the files got a little more than 1MB downloaded after days of it being stuck at red. since then, nothing. i don't know what happened to make it work, i was at work.

i'm on win.vista home prem... uTorrent was doing fine until about 2 weeks ago. nothing noticable changed with my system, the program, nothing. but now i can't download anything. then i have a job highlighted and look in the general information box, it doesn't connect to any peers, seeders, etc. it connects to the nodes, but my status light is always that yellow triangle. it's been like that for over a month now though, and it worked before just fine.

i tried the port forwarding guide, but i can't get into the router to forward the port. i am using a pay-by-the-month service becuase i am in Iraq. when i type the address into the browser bar, all it does is say the page cannot be displayed. i even tried reinstalling uTorrent, nothing is working. please HELP!

i am currently trying an OOo test torrent, but it's doing the same thing. here's the tracker info:

Name Status Update In Seeds Peer Downloaded

[DHT] working 15m 29s 0 87 0

[Local Peer Discovery] working 0 0 0

[Peer Exchange] working 0 0 0

i read over this person's problem, and your answer.. i'll be honest, i don't know what half that stuff is. i don't have much time for computers. would you mind helping me out with a few definitions?

as for the part i did understand, i had my settings a bit higher than the recommended ones, then i read the article(s) while trying to search out an answer before i posted... i changed the settings to recommended, i'm still having all of the same issues. also, after i started the OOo job, it was down for some time, but when i came back to the computer about 8 hours later, it had finished after refusing to start for at LEAST 2 hours.

again, i'd appreciate any light you could shed on your posted response that you linked into your previous message. thanks much.

Your connection is probably throttled most or all of the time. And it's going to be very hard to get around that. Even an expert with this stuff would likely fail.

Protocol Encryption, uTP connections, and Teredo/IPv6 may get around the ISP's throttling/disruption.

Have you tried the uTorrent Documentation and FAQ links at the top of the forum?

Some of these terms are in there, others GOOGLE+WIKI can explain better than I possibly can.
