UPnP: Could not map UPnP Port on this pass, retrying.

Hi µTorrent Team!,

A few months back I began taking advantage of UPnP, unfortunately µTorrent v1.8.x releases that I've been trying seems to have some annoying UPnP quirks.

Launching µTorrent via opening downloaded torrent file or manually launching µTorrent with nothing to download or upload. 98% of the time I receive the following;

[2009-10-13 16:14:07] Loaded ipfilter.dat (? entries)

[2009-10-13 16:14:07] IPv6 is installed

[2009-10-13 16:14:16] UPnP: Could not map UPnP Port on this pass, retrying.

[2009-10-13 16:14:21] UPnP: Could not map UPnP Port on this pass, retrying.

[2009-10-13 16:14:26] UPnP: Could not map UPnP Port on this pass, retrying.

[2009-10-13 16:14:31] UPnP: Unable to map port 192.168.1.10:6882 with UPnP.

... Now I know someone will ask, yes I did apply the latest router firmware to no avail.

If I began downloading something, Yellow Triangle appears and eventually the Red Triangle appears.

I didn't want to bother the µTorrent team with this, I was hoping it would eventually resolve itself, like through an µTorrent update or something else. I've been every-time manually de-checking and applying then re-checking 'Enable UPnP port mapping' and applying in Connection, under 'Listening Port'.

After unchecking and applying I see

[2009-10-13 16:15:21] UPnP: Discovered host: http://192.168.1.1:5432/xml/igdIPDesc.xml

[2009-10-13 16:15:21] UPnP: Discovered new device: "Airlink101 Wireless Broadband Router AR525W" http://192.168.1.1:5432/upnp/control/WANIPConnection1

Why doesn't it discover host when running µTorrent, why comes I have to keep going through an lengthy procedure to have µTorrent be UPnP capable?

Regards,

Phant0m``
