Firon

µTorrent 3.0 "Falcon" (32-bit) alpha 25207

Recommended Posts

Bugs that still exist in uT3.0

1. uT didn't remember latest window position on closing, cause on restart uT will center window instead e.g. maximizing it

2. help file should be updated, if you're too lazy now use latest for v2.0.1, cause I see outdated help for v1.8.3 (build 15772) in uT2.1

3. Sorting "#" in "Pieces" tab didnt work in "\/" mode

4. simply close uT, next download and open torrent in browser (association mode) and when uT starts nothing happens... but I should see some properties about torrent downloading (related to #1?)... ;p

5. problems with torrents with folders (torrent without folders are not affected)

e.g. torrent looks like this

Data\data1.dat

Data\data2.dat

when you download this torrent and stop it and next restart uT

uT will revert names to

Data\data1.dat.!ut

Data\data2.dat.!ut

even this files are downloaded in 100%

Bugs added in uT3.0

6. Closed uT didn't want to shutdown itself and it's still present in the background

7. "No Label" torrents always says "0", even I have all unlabeled torrents

8. added torrent are no auto-refreshed on torrent list, I must manually click on left torrent menu to see it

EDIT

some dumps, probably related to 6

1. When adding a torrent, Utorrent does not come up with the window that displays the files inside the torrent. Even if I enable it in the options.

2. When you add a torrent Utorrent does not auto-refresh the torrent list. You have to manually click on the left torrent menu to see it.

Both options or just one?

Oh sorry I didn't know there was two options you have to enable for this to work. Where is the second one? All I see is the one in Options/Preferences/UI settings.

Is there any way i can upload the dmp file to help you guy's diagnose the issue?

Cheers,

Question:

what's the point in having auto-updates, beta-updates and update-checking if whenever there's one (and badly needed), they just don't work - isn't having a build constantly crashing, reason enough to update - auto or otherwise? Just wondering...

The purpose of alpha- and beta-testing is so that these errors can be found before a program is said to be stable for general consumption.
