Hi! Newbie here.

I'm downloading a torrent, and the Seeds column shows 3(388). How do I interpret this? Are there 388 Seeds on total and I am only connected to 3 of those?

Why am I not connected to all?

Please help.

Hi I have checked all settings as far as I can tell they are all correct I just cannot get a port to open both my pc and my laptop are showing yellow and i have tried numerous times to change ports but to no avail

Strangely enough torrents seem to be playing again, at around 5pm this evening laptop indicator went green and I was able to get decent speeds have not tried main pc yet

Ran a speed test and up speed was 1 Mbit/ so settings are as follows

Upoad Limit = 90

Conns per torrent = 100

Max active torrents = 6

Upload slots = 6

Conns global = 450

Max active downloads = 5

Both laptop and pc are now showing green, speeds have been pretty decent at times. My provider is Virgin media and I am wondering if they have been to blame at times. Both machines shoed green at roughly 5pm last night.

Normally, those settings would be ok. But I'm not sure if 1 megabit/sec is your sustainable upload bandwidth or just burst speed. And even if not, 100+ connections at once tends to hose marginal networking hardware and software.

Have you changed any advanced settings?

No have not touched any advanced settings. Have done a couple of speed tests since and I agree that the 1 Mbit/s was probably just a burst average on other tests were around 700 kbit will adjust accordingly
