robingazi Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Due to space issues I recently bought an external 1TB HDD, which connects to the PC with an USB cable. I have several seeding torrents which have their data stored in the external HDD. The problem is when the computer restarts after a power cut, which is very frequent since I live in Bangladesh, the torrents with data in the external drive become red Xs. I have to force recheck and start them every time.Is there any way around this problem? Is there anyway I can delay the start of utorrent when it starts up with windows?PS: I'm using utorrent 1.8.4 and windows 7.
GTHK Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 Have you thought about investing in a UPS?
robingazi Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 I have an IPS... but the PC restarts every time there is a power cut. I think if I could delay utorrent start at startup, it would solve the problem.
Firon Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 The point of the UPS is to prevent your computer from shutting down abruptly... it should being doing a clean shutdown before the power on the UPS runs out.
