hermanm Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 I am thinking the characters { and } is not valid for some file systems. You see, I put new downloads on my local disk then move them to my network when it completes. The torrent finished, the files tried to get moved, but they disappeared instead. Its not a µTorrent bug per say, but I would at least like to see it addressed.LiL Wayne - No Ceilings[2009]{LEAK}-LW-[h33t]http://www.h33t.com/details.php?id=9e7424edab0b4764e207023f5ae021ebe0f39e87&hl=%2Blil+%2Bwayne
Ultima Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 Fix your network share then if it's not accepting certain characters in filenames. I don't see how this can be a µTorrent issue or how anything can be addressed from µTorrent if µTorrent can't predict what filesystem a network share is using.
hermanm Posted October 29, 2009 Author Report Posted October 29, 2009 I said as much in my last sentence. You sound cranky. LOL
Ultima Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Yeah, I know you said as much, but then if you said as much, why would you still post a non-bug in the Found Bugs forum? Exactly the same reason I responded as I did.Cranky? Not really, just being matter-of-fact-ly. Quite simply, µTorrent doesn't know the networked drive's filesystem -- how do you propose that it be addressed from µTorrent's end? By having it guess?
