Bosco
I am new to this so here goes. I have downloaded uTorrent. There is an icon on the desk top. However every time I click on it a message box asks if I want to run the software. After selecting yes the uTorrent menu page appears. I select a torrent and ... nothing. I've rewied all of the obvious errors (I hope) but can't seem to id a problem. Any clues for the clueless?
chaosblade
Did you save the .exe to somewhere? Most likely you just told the browser to open it, and its sitting there in the cache now, until it will be cleared. Much better to just save the file to somewhere and run it from there. osm0sis
also, the message box that pops up is probably the one trying to keep you safe from downloaded exe's. i don't recall how to turn this function off globally [anyone else know?] but you can do it on a file-by-file basis by bringing up the exe's properties and clicking Unblock on the General tab. Then you should have uTorrent running freely. Also, go into the options and associate uTorrent with .torrent files. You should run the Speed Guide as well.
