jheiv Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Is there a compatibility issue here? I'm trying to install WebUI and I get:The µTorrent WebUI does not seem to be installed. Click here to try to install it, or see the guide for more details.I try to install in by clicking the link and a please wait page for a fraction of a second then I get:There was a problem installing µTorrent WebUI, please see the µTorrent log for more details. The µTorrent WebUI does not seem to be installed. Click here to try to install it, or see the guide for more details. So I click on the guide and it linked me to this: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=45325 where I download the .zip file and rename it to webui.zip and place it in the same folder as µTorrent.exe (Which on W7x64 is C:\Program Files (x86)\uTorrent\)Try the process again, no difference. I've been doing all this in Firefox 3.5.4 so I try it from IE8 -- still nothing.I check the logger tab on the client and there is nothing helpful, only "IPv6 is installed" and "Got Teredo Address..."To speed things up, I've tried flushing cookies and redownloading the .zip file, neither have worked. I also thought the parens in the path might be playing games with something, so I closed the client, moved it to C:\ut\ along with the .zip file, re-opened it and it didn't make any difference.I've also tried changing the username and password, changing the way of accessing the page http://lanip:port, http://user@lanip:port, http://user:pass@lanip:port -- nothing has fixed it.Any ideas? Thanks in advance.EDIT: I apologize, after reading the thread again I realized the .zip file should be in %AppData%\uTorrent, not where I had it -- moving it there solved my problem -- sorry for the spam.
MaxyDawg Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 You could try webUI 0.362, which seemed to solve the problems I was having installing the webUI on the 2.0 beta. Do a quick search in the forums.Go here: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58156 Oh, duh. Just read the bottom of the post. Okey dokey then.
