RageGT
It's been a long while since I last came to this forum! That's because I have never had issues with speed a µTorrent always works perfectly. I am pretty sure this has nothing to do with settings or anything. (using v1.8.5)I just wanted to ask if you guys think it might be related to specific torrent files, because I've d/l'ed torrents at the same day at full speed but for these 2 torrents I can't get it over 30kBps...I've getting 2 versions of the same file, hoping that one would give me better speed but they're the same: seeds - 3 of 1059 connected (2165 in swarm)peers - 67 of 15626 connected (31182 in swarm)seeds - 7 of 406 connected (545 in swarm)peers - 60 of 8031 connected (7322 in swarm)I'm using this settings for a long time with no problem whatsoever: (only changed max upload speed a few times to see if there was any improvement in the d/l)Basic BitTorrent Features - all boxes checked but for limit local peer.Listening Port: 50060 with NAT-PMP port mapping enabled (and FW exception)Port: 50060 - (Network OK)Upload speed: 20kB/S - Upload slots: 4Connections (Per Torrent): 90 - Connections (Global): 250Max Active Torrents: 3 - Max Active Downloads: 2I have a 3MB/sec cable and I'm used to get around 350 kBps in my d/l, except for these 2 files when I hardly get over 50 but most of the time it's around 10-30 and they are big files, 7.7GB!Testing my connection showed: (I wouldn't worry about the potential rate limiting showed because I use to set max upload speed at 40 kB/s)At http://medidor.interair.com.br/Sua velocidade Atual : 2.78 Mbps - 2849.1 kbpsAt http://www.dslreports.com/2527 Kb/s down - 437 Kb/s upAt Glasnost:Is BitTorrent traffic on a well-known BitTorrent port (6884) throttled?* Completed BitTorrent and TCP transfers using the BitTorrent port 6884:Transfer Speed TCP Speed BitTorrent ConclusionDownload #0 1578 Kbps 1272 Kbps No rate limitingDownload #1 1485 Kbps 1571 Kbps No rate limitingDownload #2 1781 Kbps 1642 Kbps No rate limitingUpload #0 77 Kbps 102 Kbps No rate limitingUpload #1 98 Kbps 57 Kbps No rate limitingUpload #2 82 Kbps 95 Kbps No rate limitingIs BitTorrent traffic on a non-standard BitTorrent port (10012) throttled?* Completed BitTorrent and TCP transfers using the non-BitTorrent port 10012:Transfer Speed TCP Speed BitTorrent ConclusionDownload #0 1775 Kbps 1154 Kbps No rate limitingDownload #1 1153 Kbps 1589 Kbps No rate limitingDownload #2 1562 Kbps 1658 Kbps No rate limitingUpload #0 430 Kbps 82 Kbps Potential rate limitingUpload #1 355 Kbps 63 Kbps Potential rate limitingUpload #2 371 Kbps 10 Kbps Potential rate limitingIs TCP traffic on a well-known BitTorrent port (6884) throttled?* Comparing TCP transfers using the well-know BitTorrent port 6884 and the non-BitTorrent port 10012:TCP Transfer BitTorrent port Non-BitTorrent port ConclusionDownload #0 1578 Kbps 1775 Kbps No rate limitingDownload #1 1485 Kbps 1153 Kbps No rate limitingDownload #2 1781 Kbps 1562 Kbps No rate limitingUpload #0 77 Kbps 430 Kbps Potential rate limitingUpload #1 98 Kbps 355 Kbps Potential rate limitingUpload #2 82 Kbps 371 Kbps Potential rate limitingThanks!EDIT: Forgot to mention. Switeck
Seems to me your ISP really throttles the upload, especially on ports 6880-6900.And probably throttles BitTorrent upload even on other ports.2nd link in my signature, 384 kilobit/sec upload settings...since that seems about all you can sustain even if your ISP doesn't throttle!Encryption-wise, you might get better results doing this:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=46778or this:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58714(NOTE: Those settings were a special case for a wireless ISP, so understand them before you try them!)
