raystevens123
I don't have any problems, this is more like a warning/solution to people who have done this registry edit to reduce their in-game latency. This is quite popular among World of Warcraft players, if you change TcpAckFrequency from "2" to "1" it reduces your in-game latency, it works with some games, though it has a side effect (at least in my case). More info if you don't know what I'm talking about here.I have a 8Mbit ADSL connection, and I get ~900KBytes on speedtests which is OK. I've done several tests on Slackware torrent with TcpAckFrequency set to "1" and "2" and these are the results:TcpAckFrequency "1"Max D/L speed 514KBytesTcpAckFrequency "2" (default value)Max D/L speed 902KBytes (that's more like it)So that's roughly 40% download speed lost with this latency fix.I'm using Windows XP Home Edition SP2, so I don't know if it affects people on Vista, etc.
