Win 7 X64 Freezes

[Liability]

Hi guys,

as soon as I run uTorrent my system completely locks up.

Mouse and keyboard stop responding and I have to reboot with the power button.

I've tried v1.8.5 and also 1.8.4 with exactly the same results.

This is a 2 day old windows install with all drivers up to date

I hope somebody can help

I may have a solution for you. My brand new Windows Seven X64 Ultimate kept on freezing as well, even if it did not seem to be related to µTorrent specifically.

The workaround is just very Microsoft-ish : it seems totally unreal, far away from the problem, and still, it worked for a lot of people, and when I finally decided to try it.. it worked indeed :

Go to your power management panel, and choose "high performances". And that's it...

I Know this seems crazy, but it worked for me. Good luck !
