farahm2
Hey people. I am a part of some private tracker sites, and i do seed a lot, but my upload speed is pretty bad and on one particular site i have a pretty low ratio because of these 2 files i downloaded. So i was thinking about creating a torrent and uploading it, but I heard that you have a greater chance of getting caught by the law if you upload torrents. Is this true? When I download files, I sometimes use peerguardian, but not all the time. Does having peerguardian on while downloading torrents really help you not get caught? moogly
PG is useless, and has nothing to do with security (or at a very poor level) and certainly not with anonymity. And it depends on your country laws, but in most countries, uploading is illegal even if downloading can be allowed (not always).NB: you don't need to post a new torrent to upload, you are already uploading to the swarm when you're downloading a torrent in most of cases. Switeck
You upload every torrent you download, at least if there's any peers. ...especially if you're being monitored.
