rdmarino
First, just let me say sorry if this topic is here somewhere, but I couldn't find it. So now to my problem. I know how to set up port forwarding correctly, but after a while, it disables it. I found a *temporary* solution on my own, but not satisfactory to me. What I do whenever the port forwarding stops, I change my port number in uTorrent, and then change it in my router, and restart both and it works fine. But how do I get it to stay forwarded *permanently*? Any and all help is appreciated.
Switeck
If you manually port forwarded, did you disable UPnP which can conflict with it?
rdmarino
Yea I actually found that solution after I posted this to the forums, and *so far* I haven't had any problems. Thanks though. Im sure I'll find the links under your name useful in some way or another, too. Just curious, but could you explain *why* UPnP can interfere with port forwarding? Switeck
Many networking devices have VERY poor UPnP support, horribly buggy in fact.
GTHK
UPnP on my router will close a port that's already manually forwarded.
