vmre Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I'm running low on my HD for space so I bought a 1.5T external drive. My directories are the default directories but I want to add or change my directory so that the external gets all my DL from now on. However, I have a number of DL already on my internal HD that I want to keep seedingHow do I start a new directory but maintain my DL on the old drive or better yet how can I transfer my old DL to the new DIR & still be able to continue seeding with the old files?I hope I explained my dilemna properly
DreadWingKnight Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 The preferences -> directories section is not retroactive to already loaded torrents.Just change the destination for new downloads to the new drive. Existing torrents won't be affected.
vmre Posted November 10, 2009 Author Report Posted November 10, 2009 Wow that was fast. I didn't get a chance to inhale. Thanks. To make sure I understand I go to directories section & create a dir ie F:\utorrent\completed & save it. From then on all new DL will be stored there once completed? & the old files will remain where they r & r still identified? And the new DL will also be displayed? However I can't move the old ones over to the new dir & still keep them for seeding?I'm used to just keeping things the way they r so this is new territory for me
