drano Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 I should be able to figure this out because something must have changed in my settings which causes me an additional step now to add a torrent to uTorrent and to activate it. I am using Firefox 3.5.3 and uTorrent 1.8.4. When I started using BitTorrents I used to be able to click on the link to download a torrent file at a torrent site such as IH or PB and it would bring up a popup offering to start the torrent with uTorrent or any other app in a dropdown window, this would then bring up the uTorrent dialogue box that allows selection of individual files within the torrent, yaddi, yaddi . . and you tell it to go and this adds it and to the uTorrent list and, if you set it to add the torrent already started, it starts updating automatically. Now, for some reason I do not know, all I can do is save the torrent file to my HD and go to uTorrent and manually add the torrent from wherever I saved it and manually start it.How do I get back to having all this automated??Thanks
Ultima Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 In Firefox, Tools > Options > Applications > TORRENT file > Use µTorrent (default)
drano Posted November 11, 2009 Author Report Posted November 11, 2009 Thank you. I knew it had to be simple - just not quite as simple as yours truly.
