red arrows pointing down.....not downloading

Have been using uTorrent a couple of years..very happy, but as of this past week, any and all downloads show a red arrow pointing down, and nothing happening...says "downloading" but nada.....plenty of seeds etc.....sorry, but I'm ignorant as to the "workings" of this..way over my head. am I too vague...nothing changed on my end ie....anti-virus programs etc....please and thank-you
