sordenrace
Router: Netgear WGR614v7Firewall: ESET Smart Security 4.0.467.0I seem to be unable to properly port forward. I have meticulously followed the instructions on http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netgear/WGR614v7/Utorrent.htm and have failed to forward port 48533. If anyone could post a highly detailed tutorial, that would be great. Please and thank you!
Switeck
Did you port forward both UDP and TCP to your computer's fixed LAN ip address?Your computer's fixed LAN ip address should be outside the router's DHCP dynamic LAN ip range. kanjar
sordenraceAssuming you setup your hardware correctly have you ruled out the possibility of your software firewall blocking the appropriate ports? If using Eset Smart Security 4, after you have configured your hardware and should the problem persist, try enabling "Learning mode" in ESS4 settings. This will create the correct rules as required.Open smart security, press F5, navigate to "Personal firewall" and under filtering mode select "Learning mode." Then try opening utorrent and the firewall should create the necessary rules. Hopefully this should work. Remember to change the setting back to "Interactive mode" after.Regards
