MessyMutty
Hi,is there anyway I can find out exactly how my IP, as seen in the Peers view of µtorrent, appears for other users? I can see all others IP's, but what does my own look like? Oh, and of course I know what it _really_ looks like, but I'm trying to hide that, and need to know whether I succeed or not.Happy P2P-ing

Ultima
Eh? The IP address seen by peers is your internet IP address. WhatIsMyIp.com tells you your internet IP address -- the same exact thing. I'm not sure what you're trying to see...
The Mighty Buzzard
@Ultima: I'm thinking he wants his canonical address not his IP.@MessyMutty: You can try http://remote.12dt.com/rns/ if you want to know your canonical address. It's worth keeping in mind that a large chunk of people only see your IP because they don't want the overhead caused by doing a reverse lookup on every address they connect to. BitComet lusers in particular are a headache there because of the rapidfire connections in an effort to get an optimistic unchoke.
