rubberwheels
I tried a search and read the threads but can someone make it more clear to me. I currently have around 100 torrents seeding but my hard drive is full. I ordered a new hard drive and hopefully move all the torrents and files to the new drive and seed. how do i changed the seeding directory? i played around with utorrent: i moved the file out of the download folder and pressed recheck it ended up downloading a new file. i moved the original back and did a recheck it seeded again. i need to know how to seed from the new drive after i transfer all the files over. i read something about editing some file with the directories? and another about download location? another one about changing the complete/new download directory then moving all the files and doing a recheck. i need an easy solution. thanks! fkw12
can't help you but it seems like we're both wondering about the same/similar thing xD
moogly
2 solutions:1/ Stop all the torrent jobs and relocate them (right click > Advanced > Set Download Location) by choosing the new storage folder.2/ Use freeware BEncode Editor (http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=31306) and edit resume.dat to change in one click the path of your torrents (function 'find/replace'). Make a back-up copy of resume.dat.
fkw12
so moogly are you saying if I do that right click>adv and designate the download location to an ext hdd it will download to that?
moogly
That's the role of 'Set Download Location' to relocate existing torrent jobs. Move the files then relocate, uT will continue to seed or leech.
