npw171264 Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Hi, I have a problem with my ISP, I am new to utorrent, which is absolutly brilliant. However my ISP sent me a warning saying i was nearly at my limit, monthly allocation. I have downloaded very little since. Today i got a message saying "we'll now be restricting your broadband speed at peak times only (typically this is between 5pm and 12am, but these times may change depending on the demands on the network) to 1Mbps for a minimum of 30 days" WHEN UTORRENT IS NOT RUNNING, CAN IT STILL UPLOAD. WHEN I CLICKED ON UTORRENT I HAVE NO FILES ACTIVE OR DOWNLOADING,but it is showing upload and download speeds. Could this be causing a problem. I cant understand how i have gone over limit have been careful since warning. Thanks
Switeck Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 If DHT is active, it can peak as high as 8 KB/sec down and/or up...but normally doesn't go over 2 KB/sec down or up.
