JoshTheGoat
Hey Everyone,I've been having this problem for a few months, and AT&T says the problem isn't on their end. I'm hoping someone can help me out.My router will drop the connection whenever uTorrent is running, and it happens about once a minute. The router will lose all signal, take 10 seconds to reconnect, and then start downloading again. When it's connected, there's no speed problems, but it usually disconnects quickly.I've read through all of the faqs/sticky threads regarding fixes, and nothing seems to work. Here's the information that the different pages requested.Windows XP Computer2wire 2701HG-B ModemATT DSL InternetSpeed Test Results:Download Speed: 5.9 MbpsUpload Speed: .6 MbpsuTorrent Speed Settings: Download Limit: UnlimitedUpload Limit: 25 kB/sUpload Slots: 3Connections (per-torrent): 70Connections (global): 130Max Active Torrents: 2Max Active Downloads: 1Protocol Encryption is enabled, allow incoming legacy connections is enableduTorrent exemption is enabled in Windows FirewallGreen check mark at bottom center of uTorrentUPnP and NAT-PMP are enabledPort is properly forwarded with routerStatic IP address enablednet.max_halfopen is set to 4Patched tcpip.sys to accept 50 connectionspeer.lazy_bitfield is enabledDisabled IP ResolvingDisabled UPnP, DHT, and NAT-PMPDeleted and recreated firewall exception, it is setup properlyIf anyone has any ideas, or questions about my configuration, please let me know. Thanks! Switeck
Lower bt.connect_speed to only 1. (1 outgoing peer/seed connection attempt per second)Reduce per-torrent and global connection max to 50 or less.Disable Local Peer Discovery.Does this happen on only 1 computer? JoshTheGoat
I changed the settings you suggested, but unfortunately the connection still drops just as regularly.I only use one computer with uTorrent, so I'm not sure if the problem is with that computer or with the router. I'll try downloading with a different computer to see if the connections issues continue.
Switeck
If you can eliminate your computer as the cause, the router may be broken.
