javahahaha
I've followed the set up instructions. I think I have set up my firewall to permit computers to access Bit Torrent but am not sure. My download rate is slow (15 KB/s) and when I look at the info for the torrent I see that I am connected to only 3 peers (and I know that there are many more). What can I do to fix this. Any assistance is much appreciated. BTW, I have a Mac and Norton Firewall and Anti-Virus.
Switeck
Bell (Sympatico) ADSL ISP in Canada throttles the heck out of BitTorrent!http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=50413Also, are you running uTorrent v1.8.5 or v2.0 beta or v2.1 alpha? javahahaha
My version says 4.27.2 is that correct?I am on sympatico but I'm not sure that's the problem for two reasons (1) there only seem to be 5 peers connected when I know there should be more and (2) downloading to my other computer (a PC) works fine (good speed). All of this leads me to believe that it has something to do with the Norton Firewall on my Mac.Any thoughts?
Switeck
Putting Norton on a Mac?! Norton's not reliable in Windows! Try the uTorrent Mac forums for Mac-specific help.
