imthewolfman Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 I realize that I can limit the upload speed but I usually set it to unlimited. Is there anyway to limit the total size for files uploaded by utorrent daily to 30GB? My ISP only allows me to upload 30GB daily but recently I've been leaving my PC on and going out so utorrent has started going over those limits and reaching 40 or 50GB, which made my ISP send me a warning e-mail telling me that they would terminate my contract if I ever go over these limits again.I'm a bit scared to leave utorrent unsupervised right now, but if I set it too low then I wouldn't reach my daily 30GB upload quota, and I do hate being wasteful! so I would like utorrent to automatically stop if it ever reaches the 30GB upload limit. Is there anyway to do that?
Ultima Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 Transfer Cap in µTorrent 2.0 (currently in beta testing).
Switeck Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 30 GB/day = 364.09 KB/sec = 2912.71 kilobit/sec...so you'd only need 3 megabit/sec upload bandwidth to reach 30 GB/day.Setting upload speed max in uTorrent to 300-350 KB/sec should allow you to get close to the limit every day assuming you have enough active torrents.
