AT&T U-Verse

Hi:

I have an issue and I did not see it discussed before so forgive me if this is a repeat...

I recently upgraded from AT&T DSL to AT&T Uverse. I have a connection of 6MB and consistently get speeds of 5.7

I have an XP machine with SP3 and have used uTorrent for a while now.

On the day that the tech came out to install the new connection I waas DL a file that was registering avg. DL speed of 500-600 kb/s. After the tech left I was barely getting 200 on the same file!

Since then I have reached speeds of no more than 300 at best and that is not nearly as steady as before.

I shold mention that the port has been forwarded correctly in the router/firewall.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Don't use wireless. The 2wire's wireless is awful.

With (nearly) everything stopped that uses bandwidth, run a speed test.

AT&T may have incorrectly provisioned your line at a slower speed tier.
