Physical memory hits 99% on use of bitTorrent or µTorrent

Hi all,

I have a serious issue for the past 2 days. I cudnt dload anything via any p2p client software using torrents. I have used Bit torrent for more than a year now and never faced an issue like this. SO tried with uTorrent. Still had the same issue. The OS i use is vista 32 bit.

The issue is that whenever i start the p2p client application the physical memory shots up to 100% and stays there for about 5 seconds every 10 seconds. But when i close it system works fine. This problem am facing very annoyin as the system freezes and doesnt let me do anything till the memory usage goes down and am worried whether this issue would affect my one year old laptop's ram. Anybody out here has faced this issue before?.. Is there a solution other than formatting the hard disk, thats the only one i dint try. i tried scanning my sys for virus, tried u torrent instead of bit torrent and evn tried all options available in application nothing worked. Any small help even in this regard would be appreciated greatly.

Did you try disabling windows caching in uTorrent's preferences, advanced, disk cache?

(and uncheck reduce memory usage.)
