lazytitan Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 did little searching around and cant find anyone with same problem i have. my torrents just wont download some times and i cant figure out why. i have seeds and peers and plenty of them. most the time will start out downloading then just die, or not really start at all. dont see not error or message say why its just stopped but just wont go. This just started recently and i dont know what i did to cause it. also restarting pc(restarting utorrent doesn't do anything) sometimes helps but only for a min or two before it dies again. i got great connection and internet not the issue. any ideas?

spineless Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 I have the exact same problem. I just upgraded from 1.8.4 (which worked perfectly fine) to 1.8.5 that keeps having these issues. All the new torrent files I add just sit there with plenty of seeders and leechers in the swarm and do not download at all. Restarting uTorrent gets some of my torrents to download (some never download) for a while, but eventually they all stop downloading and only uploads are running. This is a major issue, and ruins using uTorrent for me. I don't think it's a firewall or ISP issue since 1.8.4 worked fine and the problems just started right after I installed 1.8.5. I have Avira AV and zonealarm installed on Win XP.
PHDIKOULAS Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 i have the exact same problem.i try to dl some files with many many seeders and they just wont download.no matter what.port is ok firewall ok antivirus okISP okeverything is ok even utorrent settings.it just wont downlaod anything.i can only dl from tna.all started with the new utorrent version 1.8.5in a nutshell i have teh exact problem Spineless has.
spineless Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 I just installed the latest beta version of uTorrent (2.0-beta-17539) and the same torrents that were not downloading at all with 1.8.5 seems to be downloading just fine now. So, yea, something's broken in 1.8.5.
PHDIKOULAS Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 i ll try the 185 b then and post what happens.omg spineless you rock man.cheers to you awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yeah def something broken in the latest version 185 omg thnx again man.
FuzzyLogic01 Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Just started having this problem yesterday myself. Actually had it with v1.8.4, though. Updated this morning to v1.8.5 and the issue persisted. Checked forum, immediately found this topic, set uTorrent to update to beta versions. Checked for updates, it found the build Spineless mentioned (17539) and now my torrents are flying. Actually registered on the forum just to give kudos.Appreciate the help.
Switeck Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Please tell me the line speed (down and up) and uTorrent settings (the few shown by CTRL+G and any advanced settings changed from default). There is a likelihood this problem is related to a uTorrent core logic bug...
