cucuy100 Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Today I downloaded utorrent 2.0 Beta, before i had 1.85 and everything was good, port was good and the icon was green. My problem now it's that the Icon appears yellow the majority of the time at one point it turn red, I decided to reinstall Utorrent 2.0 Beta then the Icon when back to yellow I stared to download and the Icon when green for around ten min then when back to yellow. The whole time the port is been open, I did the network test and the results are (port is open. your network is properly configured). I turn off my Norton 360 firewall; I also turn off Peer Guardian 2 and no change. I'm running windows XPI have a Linksys WRT54G V3and a Cable Modem DPC2100R2Any ideas why the icon it's yellow and not green. Thanks in advanced.
Switeck Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 "I turn off my Norton 360 firewall" ...does not stop it from blocking uTorrent.

cucuy100 Posted December 9, 2009 Author Report Posted December 9, 2009 I fix my problem!!!!!!!!What I did?Well I disconnected my modem and my router and waited a few seconds then plug everything back. Then I log back into my router n found out that the Internet connection type was in static IP so I change it to Automatic Configuration DHCP and the reason it's because I have Cable Internet. Thank for your quick respond, I hope this helps other people.Cucuy100
Switeck Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 When the guides (and us) say set up a static ip, we mean the computer's LAN ip needs to be static. The router almost MUST use "Automatic Configuration DHCP" (or something similar) to get its internet ip from your ISP.
