q"v9p Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Why is it incomplete files folder say I use 70GB or so but calculating uTorrent's stated amount, ratio as decimal multiplied by size of torrent, differ?
DreadWingKnight Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Ratio is based on amount downloaded, not on total size.
q"v9p Posted December 10, 2009 Author Report Posted December 10, 2009 I've added up the total downloaded by using the transfer section under the general tab, added them all up, and have included extra for rounding errors, and it only comes to 7GB. Whereas Windows says the incomplete folder is 66.1GB large.
DreadWingKnight Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 You mean allocated space? What about the "Size on Disk" value?
q"v9p Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Posted December 11, 2009 They're approximate. But something else has surprised me, and I think this might be a thing with Windows anyway. I had a torrent that downloaded 94.8MB of data, with the total size going to be 80GB or so if completed. I had, according to Windows, only 14.3MB of space left so I thought deleting this would make that 119.1MB of free space. But it ended up claiming I had 12.5GB free when I deleted the torrent from the recycling bin. :/
