Downloading via desktop knocks wireless laptop offline

Hi,

I cannot use my wireless laptop when downloading thru utorrent.

I do all downloading thru my desktop PC which is XP/ DSL.

I bought a new laptop last month and connected a new Linksys router so I could use my laptop in other parts of the house.. [have DSL for years here.]

just noticed I have no laptop connection right after I started a desktop PC torrent download.

If I stop the download, my connection comes back on the laptop.

yes, both desktop and laptop can be online together until I start a utorrent download then my wireless laptop connect shuts off..

I am sure it is a simple fix if someone can point it to me.
