Memory and Virtual Memory usage of utorrent

As soon as I turn utorrent on the memory and virtual memory keeps growing until my computer barely runs, normally about 5-10 minutes. I've already ticked the boxes disabling of windows caching of disk writes and of disk reads. I've currently got all the boxes ticked under pref/advanced/disk cache/advanced cache settings apart from, Increase automatic cache size when cache thrashing.

Any help appriciated Cheers

And what happens when you try with McAfee temporarily uninstalled?

Uninstalled McAfee and the same problem, it was only downloading at about 4kb and reached 150mb mem and 450mb virtual memory.
