magnet association won't keep

i recently installed shareaza which stole the magnet link association. i deselected the magnet association in shareaza, and reassociated in utorrent. but every time i start shareaza it steals the association again. plus, when i click the associate button in utorrent, and i check it again a second later it's no longer grayed out. anyone have a similar problem and solution?
