new to utorrent

hi,just downloaded utorrent after using another client,my problem is every time i click to download a torrent,the original bittorent starts up,instead of utorrent,it would seem to me that i have not got utorrent set as my default downloading client,but if this is the problem where do i set utorrent as my default downloader.

in µtorrent try going to Options-->preferences-->General tab.

push "associate with .torrent files".

also check "check association on startup".

try opening your torrent file again and see if that helps.

thanks hofshi,tried that,but bittorrent still comes up,rather than utorrent.

Try to open your explorer, (windows-E)

go to Tools-->Folder options-->File types tab

search for torrent file

and click change.

now select utorrent.exe
