mnmlnoise
Alright, I'm new to all of this, so please don't jump down my throat if this is a dumb question.I just can't seem to find the answer (and yes I did search for one). I'm new to torrents, but I have been using Transmission on my Mac for a few weeks now...no issues. Decided to try uploading some stuff from my PC as well (Windows XP Pro) as it is always on and I may as well use the bandwith. Every time I create a torrent file, utorrent "adds" additional files... (one 4.00 kb file for every correct file)here is an example:05 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Sakurabana.flac 53.44 MB04 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Haru Wa Akebono.flac 35.55 MB02 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Haru No Hi Ni.flac 33.61 MB03 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Harusame No Juru Wa Namida Ka.flac 23.52 MB01 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Sakura No Hana No Oto Ga Kikoeru.flac 20.79 MBPainting Petals On Planet Ghost haru.log 4.24 KBR 1424484 1218574107.jpeg.jpg 4.10 KB. 05 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Sakurabana.flac 4.00 KB. R 1424484 1218574107.jpeg.jpg 4.00 KB. 02 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Haru No Hi Ni.flac 4.00 KB. 01 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Sakura No Hana No Oto Ga Kikoeru.flac 4.00 KB. 04 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Haru Wa Akebono.flac 4.00 KB. 03 Painting Petals On Planet Ghost Harusame No Juru Wa Namida Ka.flac 4.00 KBWhat are these extra 4.00 kb files and how do I prevent them in the first place?Any help is greatly appreciated!thanks, mnmlnoise
moogly
In theory uTorrent adds no file, it just creates a .torrent of the folder and its contents you're hashing. These files starting with a dot sounds like hidden files under Unix/Linux...Does this folder come from Linux partition?
