Combining Torrents

I am interested in creating a DHT torrent of an identical file on another tracker, and then adding that tracker to my DHT torrent.

What I'm trying to do is host a DHT file on my site and allow my visitors to benefit from the seeding activity that is heaviest with the external tracker.

Would this approach combine my visitors seeds with the seeds of the external source?

If not, is there another method of accomplishing this?

If that other torrent has the same infohash, then yes, you can merge swarms that way, but if it already has the same infohash, then chances are very likely that the torrent already is tracked on DHT.
