kostnkost
I have been using 1.7.7 for a long time now and my upload speeds were very consistent. Now I decided to upgrade to 1.8.5 and my upload speeds are horrible.During the upgrade, are the settings changed in the process? I may have to downgrade if that is the case because I probably do not remember all the changes that were made.Any help is greatly appreciated. DreadWingKnight
No settings are changed normally, but 1.8.5 is a lot less forgiving of stupid settings.
kostnkost
Strange.... Now my upload speed is back where it should be. I upgraded about 2 hours ago, so maybe the old settings had to wait a bit and kick in.LOL! Too funny. As I am typing my speed went way low again.I guess these spikes mean I have to reconfigure utorrent. I will check out your how to guides to see if this fixes my problems. Switeck
v1.8.5 uses Teredo/IPv6 and native IPv6 if available. It also uses incoming uTP peers/seeds by default, but doesn't make outgoing uTP connections by default. These all use UDP packets which are notoriously harsh towards crap consumer networking hardware and software.
