Technarch
How about this as an idea:Ban all clients from connecting that don't meet an approved client tag.Technically this feature kinda sorta exists, if one disallows 'legacy connections' checkbox in the encryption tag, it means only Azureus and µTorrent clients can connect.Discussion: Is this a good idea? The reason I am wondering is because if the post about Rogers is true, then they have admitted they have failed so far, and their next idea is to count the # of connections or something made by a machine supposedly, to identify candidates to throttle. Ultima
Won't happen. It's been discussed more than enough times already.
1c3d0g
And before you ask, it's to prevent careless users from banning anyone and everyone not conforming to their ridiculous point of view (like, for instance, not sending HAVE messages, etc. etc. etc.). :/
