Moving files and then losing them when check is complete

Hi

I don't know what's happening but I moved files to a new drive and when I change the download location, uTorrent checks them and then deletes them and starts downloading again.

Any help appreciated.

I did read and follow that but same problem still occuring. I'm actually reformatting my flash drive (which is where I was moving everything to) and starting again so it might have been a problem with reading that.

If the data checks out as existing, uTorrent won't redownload...but if you get the path wrong, uTorrent thinks the files are missing and redownloads them.

Yeah, that's why it's weird. I point to the exact location and I see the file there.. then it checks and at the end, in the exact same place the file was, it has replaced it with an unfinished (.!ut) file and the original file is gone.

So it appears that uTorrent is deleting the file/s?

Yup! Luckily I had it all backed up but I don't want to mess up accounts by looking like I'm downloading the same file twice and therefore making it look like I'm sharing the account and so on.
