what is weird is that if i wait 2 mins (win7 says => not responding) it pops back to life and works perfectly...

Ps: i dont know if it has anything to do with it but i just changed my hdd to a ssd.

I'm having the same problem u torrent freezes than after a few seconds starts up again would not mind it to much but it freezes up the entire computer. This seems to be a problem here with a few users it just started happening to me today.

Never had this problem before....Any quick fixes?

Update to my post....I fixed the problem of the stopping and starting I apparently downloaded a bad torrent file. I went into the u torrent folder and deleted the last 2 torrents I had just downloaded before my problems began and problem solved one or both were bad...Anyone else that has this problem try what I did........Hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem on Win7 64bit; any build of 2.0 runs for around twenty or thirty seconds and then just freezes. My HijackThis and ProcExp logs are at

uTorrent didn't manage to make a crashdump, so I can't post that. I'll provide whatever other information you want.

While uTorrent is frozen, go to Task Manager. Right-click on uTorrent.exe and select "Create Dump File". Zip it up and post it for us to take a look at (with the build # from Help > About)

This crash has decided now to become intermittent; the next time it freezes, I'll do that.

OK, it finally decided to crash again. It's not 30 seconds anymore. It used to be, but apparently something in a recent RC build made that interval much longer; this was about ten hours. Here's the dump:
