farahm2
hey people I need some assistance because I just got verizon fios which gives us 25mbps of download and upload speed. But when I download torrents on utorrent now, they are slower than what they used to be! but upload speed is going through the roof now! I get upload speeds of about 1mpbs and that is much more significant than what I used to get for upload without fios. But download speed is really what matters though. I have followed the speed guide and still. Before I had fios I used to get speed of about 500kb/s at most. Currently I am getting speeds of about 200kb/s, but the most I've seen after fios is around 400kb/s. I just got fios installed yesterday if that matters. Also, I know it cant be the torrents themselves because there are over thousands of seeders and multiple peers for each torrent. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? Any recommended settings I should use? Please help.

farahm2
sorry for not getting back in time guys. But I just ran a speed test and it seems that my upload speed it not nearly close to what it should be. Like I said, I'm supposed to have a 25/25 Mbit connection, but it seems that this is my real speed:I guess I gotta go to verizon forums and see what's up now... farahm2
I know man it's crazy! But I talked to verizon and they think that the problem is our router so they're sending us a new one. Ill be sure to post back and let you guys know what happens.
