shinfisher3
There's probably already a thread on here somewhere, but I've searched through a few and haven't found my exact problem yet. I also checked the FAQs and haven't found my exact problem, although if I had to guess it's probably on there somewhere and just listed slightly differently than what I'm experiencing. I just installed uTorrent, and keep trying to do the setup test thing, and everytime I try and run it it just says Connection failed error: Timed out. (10060) over and over. Can someone tell me where I would find the answer to this specific problem? I'm sure it's out there somewhere and I'm just too illiterate to figure it out myself. Firon
I think some of the test servers are down, unfortunately. They were a bit... unprepared for the extra load we're putting on them. You can try running a manual at www.dslreports.com/stest and manually picking a preset from the Speed Guide.
shinfisher3
I tried that, but I think the issue may be something different. It doesn't seem to connect at all, and I'm having the same problem with another client I tried. Frankly I think I'm just too dumb to figure this stuff out. My theory is it's probably something pretty obvious I'm missing out on.
Firon
Do you have a firewall?
shinfisher3
I've tried it with the firewall and without it, and it doesn't seem to affect it at all.
Firon
What firewall is it? Assuming it isn't the Windows firewall.
shinfisher3
Yeah, just windows. My guess would be it has something to do with the new router I got. I switched service providers not too long ago, but the thing is I'm not sure exactly WHAT the problem is, so it's hard to find help for it.
